ABOUT US

ROCKETFUEL VOLLEYBALL CLUB IS ABOUT MORE THAN WINNING AND LOSING. IT’S ABOUT HELPING TO DEVELOP GIRLS INTO CONFIDENT YOUNG WOMEN WHO LEARN TO HANDLE COMPETITIVE SITUATIONS, IMPROVE THEIR PHYSICAL FITNESS, AND FORM MEANINGFUL BONDS WITH TEAMMATES. WE WANT THEM TO HAVE FUN. WE WANT THEM TO LEARN LEADERSHIP SKILLS. WE WANT TO OPEN THE DOOR TO THE POTENTIAL FOR FURTHER ADVANCEMENT BEYOND THEIR HIGH SCHOOL EXPERIENCES. THROUGH DISCIPLINE, TRAINING, AND COMPREHENSIVE SKILL DEVELOPMENT, WE STRIVE TO HELP YOUNG ATHLETES GROW IN THE SPORT OF VOLLEYBALL AND LIFE.

ROCKETFUEL VOLLEYBALL WAS FOUNDED IN OCTOBER 2016 BY KATHARYN DEVILLE AND HER HUSBAND, CHARLES. THEIR DAUGHTER’S LOVE FOR THE SPORT INSPIRED THEM TO START A PROGRAM THAT IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING GIRLS AND YOUNG WOMEN IN OUR REGION WITH EXCELLENT VOLLEYBALL TRAINING, COACHING AND PLAYING EXPERIENCES.

WE HOPE THEY CREATE MEMORIES THAT WILL LAST A LIFETIME. WE ARE MORE THAN A BUSINESS OR SERVICE. WE ARE NEIGHBORS STRIVING TO “DO GOOD” AND CONTRIBUTE TO OUR GROWING COMMUNITY FOR YEARS AND GENERATIONS TO COME.

My why: people can’t believe we drove an hour and a half for club volleyball but after making the decision to let my daughter play with RVC it’s the best decision we could have made. Coming from the club volleyball scene in Dallas, TX, I was not sure what to expect in northern Louisiana. What our family found at Rocketfuel318 was a great club atmosphere where the development and well-being of my daughter and her teammates were priorities. The coaches my daughter played for created an environment that was both supportive and competitive - Rocketfuel318 provided a great outlet for players in northern Louisiana to come together and compete against the best clubs in the state and even the region. The best things about the club are its commitment to grow the sport in this area and the opportunity it provides for girls to build friendships over their shared love of the sport. I truly believe that some of my daughter’s most fulfilling friendships and gratifying moments on the court occurred while playing volleyball for Rocketfuel318.

We have been beyond pleased with RocketFuel. One thing I really love is that RocketFuel is a positive, encouraging organization. In just one club season, our daughter’s confidence and leadership skills grew, and that has spilled over into her other sports as well as other aspects of her life. Our coaches were phenomenal and did an excellent job of giving constructive feedback and teaching the girls the game. They had high expectations and were tough when they needed to be, but no matter what, they were always encouraging and constantly teaching. They provided many one-on-one training opportunities, which my daughter says is one of her favorite things about her club team. The camaraderie is something else that we really love about RocketFuel. These girls have become my daughter’s friends on and the off the court, and we look forward to following their journey for years to come. Another thing that I appreciate is that the RocketFuel organization is organized and helpful. There are options for payment plans, and the director was always ready to answer any questions I had, which put me at ease, especially since this was our first year of club volleyball.
